Silva vs. Chavez Jr. took place June 19 at the Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara, Mexico. Former UFC champion Anderson Silva (2-1) battled Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (52-6-1, 1 no-contest) in the co-main event. The fight aired live on FITE TV pay-per-view. Catch more video highlights below.

Round 1: Chavez takes the center of the ring. Silva circling as the boxers size each other up. Silva with an opening 2-3 that Chavez blocks. Chavez waiting for an opening. Glancing left by Silva, not much on that punch. There’s an overhand right by Chavez, partially blocked. Left hook from Chavez gets through. Chavez cutting off the ring with his movement. Chavez with a left, Silva circles to get his back off the ropes. Not much to score there.

Round 2: Silva active with his jab, though it’s just a range finder right now. Chavez getting out of the way of Silva’s straight punches. Chavez with a short punch to the body. Silva scores to the body. Silva with a winging right hand up top. Chavez with the jab. Silva backs Chavez up with an uppercut to the body. Silva getting the hands going and he hits a jab. Chavez connects with a right hand.

Round 3: Silva jabs to the body. Chavez hits a jab and pushes the pace, scoring to the body. Silva aggressive now, but Chavez defends against the ropes. Left hand gets through for Silva. Silva to the body. He’s the busier fighter in round three. A pair of lefts to the body score for Chavez and Chavez just misses with a power punch to the head. Silva motioning for Chavez to THROW DOWN. Silva walks himself back into the corner and invites Chavez to come at him. Chavez just loading up and throwing hard punches as Silva blocks.

Round 4: Silva opens round four with a good uppercut. Now he has Chavez cornered. Chavez with good head movement, he’s staying out of danger. Silva goes 1-1-2. Silva muscles Chavez to the ropes, he’s scoring to the body. Jab by Silva keeps Chavez on the backfoot. Chavez looking to counter with Silva smothering him. Silva to the body. Silva lands a two-punch combo, then a left.

Round 6: Silva with another quick start to a round. He is really putting the pressure on Chavez who is defending with little offensive output. Chavez slips in a couple of punches to the body. Silva just bullying him against the ropes, he attacks with an uppercut. Clean lead left by Silva. Chavez with a counter jab. He blocks a Silva flurry. Chavez with a right to close the frame.

Round 7: Silva scores to the body, then lands a short uppercut. Not sure what Chavez is waiting for. Silva pops him with a jab. He’s circling and firing. Chavez has thrown almost nothing through 90 seconds. Chavez turtles up and throws out a left hand that lands. Good left to the body by Chavez. Silva with a left to the side of Chavez’s head. Chavez closing the round well with two loud shots to the body. Silva backs him up with the jab.

Round 8: The Silva jab is still giving Chavez problems. He’s clearly the busier fighter. Silva with a 1-2, then another 1-2. Silva leading the dance. They do a quick check on Chavez’s cut and we’re back to the action. Good right by Chavez to Silva’s chin. He opens up with body work. Silva keeping up the pressure with his 1-2 combo. Silva with an uppercut. Right hand gets through for Chavez, he zings another to the body. Silva answers with another uppercut. Chavez throwing hard as time ticks down.
