The rules surrounding the highly anticipated exhibition bout between Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul have been revealed ahead of their matchup on Sunday night.

Because Mayweather and Paul are meeting in an exhibition bout, the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation won’t actually be overseeing the matchup, although they will lend a referee to serve as the third man in the ring this weekend.

According to a statement from the Florida State Boxing Commission, Mayweather vs. Paul will be contested without the benefit of judges because it’s an exhibition and the fighters will wear 12-ounce gloves with the bout taking place over eight round at three minutes each.

The fighters will not be required to wear headgear.

Because this is not an official bout, no winner will be declared at the end of the contest, although knockouts are not prohibited and the referee retains the discretion to stop the contest at any time.

The rules are similar to the set put in place by the California State Athletic Commission for the boxing exhibition between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. this past November. Of course this time around, there’s a vast difference in size and experience with Paul as the much bigger fighter while Mayweather is widely considered one of the greatest boxers of the past 50 years after retiring from active competition with a perfect 50-0 record.

While there may be no winner or loser announced, Paul comes into the bout with a massive disparity when compared to Mayweather in the sport of boxing.

The 26-year-old social influencer currently sports an 0-1 professional record with a previous draw in an amateur bout against the same opponent — fellow YouTube celebrity KSI.
