Dan Ige has a replacement opponent lined up.

MMA Fighting confirmed with sources with knowledge of the change that Gavin Tucker (13-1) has agreed to step in for Ryan Hall to fight Ige (14-3) at a UFC APEX event in Las Vegas on March 13. Hall withdrew from the bout after suffering an injury in training.

Ige is looking to bounce back from his first loss in seven outings after dropping a unanimous decision to Calvin Kattar in the main of event of UFC Fight Island 1 in July. Prior to that, Ige had won six straight, with notable wins over Edson Barboza, Mirsad Bektic, and Kevin Aguilar, among others.

Tucker takes a short-notice fight after a successful 2020 campaign that saw him go 2-0 with wins over Billy Quarantillo and Justin Jaynes. The Canadian is on a three-fight win streak and is 4-1 overall since joining the UFC in February 2017.

It was rumored that Tucker was to fight veteran Cub Swanson on May 1, but that bout was never officially announced and is off for now, according to a source.
