UFC strawweight prospect Kay Hansen is looking forward after a disappointing decision loss at UFC Vegas 14.

Hansen released a statement on her official Instagram account after the setback, which opened Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX. McKenna, a Team Alpha Male protege, took home unanimous scores of 29-28.

Several UFC fighters were torn on the fight’s winner and praised both women for a back-and-forth scrap.

According to MMADecisions.com, 14 of 16 media outlets scored the bout for Hansen, an Invicta FC standout who debuted in the UFC with a submission of Jinh Yu Frey in June.

Judges Derek Cleary, Sal D’Amato and Chris Lee all gave McKenna the first two rounds by 10-9 scores and gave Hansen the final frame by the same tally.

McKenna, a Contender Series and Cage Warriors vet, earned her first UFC win with the decision over Hansen.
