Leah McCourt vs. Jessica Borga set for Bellator 267 co-main event in London

Bellator

A women’s featherweight bout will set the table for a highly anticipated rematch in Bellator’s return to London.

Promotional officials revealed on Wednesday that a matchup between Leah McCourt and Jessica Borga will serve as the co-main event at Bellator 267. The card takes place Oct. 1 at the SSE Arena and will air on Showtime with the second meeting between former welterweight champion Douglas Lima and Michael Page in the headline spot.

After dropping her pro debut in June 2017, McCourt has been victorious in her last five appearances, including a 4-0 run inside the Bellator cage. Most recently, “The Curse” picked up a third-round triangle choke submission win over Janay Harding at Bellator 259 in May. The 29-year-old currently holds the No. 5 spot in the promotion’s 145-pound rankings.

Borga is set to make her third Bellator appearance and looks to bounce back from a unanimous decision loss to Talita Nogueira at Bellator 256 in April. “The Black Widow” made a big impression in her promotional debut when she submitted Amber Leibrock with an armbar at Bellator 226 in September 2019.
