Jon Jones just won’t let Daniel Cormier have the last word.

On Tuesday, Jones continued jabbing at his longtime rival, trolling Cormier after the former two-division champion clapped back at him.

The latest spat between the two-time opponents started over an interview in which Cormier said Jones’ drug positives eliminated him from the conversation of best-ever, which Jones claimed after Cormier pushed his teammate, lightweight champ Khabib Nurmagomedov, as a frontrunner after a a win over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254.

Jones defended his history of adverse drug tests and called Cormier a quitter for hanging up the gloves following a loss to Stipe Miocic earlier this year. That got Cormier back in the ring, so to speak, earlier Tuesday.

Jones, who relinquished the UFC light heavyweight title in anticipation of a move to heavyweight, did a victory lap after another round of insults targeted at Cormier.

A move to heavyweight has yet to materialize for the 33-year-old Jones, who defended the light heavyweight title against Dominick Reyes to notch his 15th UFC title win. “Bones” sought a big payday for taking on one-time heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou, which led to a clash over money with UFC President Dana White. After an impasse, Jones gave up the light-heavy belt, only to contemplate an extended stay at 205 pounds after the title was claimed by Jan Blachowicz, an opponent many expected him to fight after Reyes.

White and Jones have teased fight news for Jones, but a matchup has yet to materialize. That’s left Jones with plenty of time to let his fingers do the talking. But in his words, that only happens when someone attacks first.
