Brazilian flyweight Taila Santos has a new opponent for the Dec. 5 UFC Fight Night event in Las Vegas after Montana De La Rosa stepped in on less than three weeks’ notice to replace Maryna Moroz.

Multiple people with knowledge of the situation confirmed the change to MMA Fighting following a report from Combate.

The reason for Moroz’s withdrawal has not been disclosed.

Santos (16-1) scored her first UFC victory in July, defeating former Cage Warriors flyweight champion Molly McCann via decision on Fight Island. The Dana White Contender Series signee is 1-1 in the company, losing her promotional debut to Mara Romero Borella in February 2019.

De La Rosa (11-6), on the other hand, looks to get back on track after losing a decision to Viviane Araujo in September. The Ultimate Fighter 26 alum was 4-1 in official UFC bouts prior to her recent setback, including wins over Borella and Rachael Ostovich.

The UFC Vegas 16 card will go down at Las Vegas’ UFC APEX and feature a middleweight showdown between Jack Hermansson and Kevin Holland in the headlining attraction.
