The crew filming Brendan Schaub’s Food Truck Diaries got some bonus footage for Dillon Danis’ guest appearance on the Showtime web series. Whether or not that was the plan is up to viewers.
Two days after YouTube star Jake Paul threw water balloons at Danis in a drive-by, escalating an apparent feud with Conor McGregor in a separate video that instantly went viral, MMA fans are getting the other angle of the incident.
In a moment that seemed awfully close to a setup, former UFC heavyweight turned podcaster/comedian Schaub is interviewing Danis for the food-centered series when Paul rolls up and starts trouble.

The building where Food Truck Diaries is filmed is occupied by Media Malka, a production company that works with Showtime on a variety of content.
After Paul drives off, Danis casually walks back to Schaub, and the two chop it up about what just happened.
“I don’t think he would actually box me, either,” said Danis.
“But the thing is, that’s going to get them millions of views, and when you guys fight, that translates to dollars for you,” Schaub replied.
“I wish he would have gotten out,” Danis said.
Danis quickly fired back at Paul on Twitter. The YouTube star started the feud with a callout of McGregor and Danis after his viral knockout of Nate Robinson at Tyson vs. Jones Jr. this past month. His older brother, Logan Paul, later signed on to box Floyd Mayweather.
