Triple Take: Is UFC champ Deiveson Figueiredo or Kevin Holland the ‘Fighter of the Year’?

Well, 2020 has been tough for many, but despite all the adversity, there are two men in MMA who had spectacular years to say the least.

UFC flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo and UFC middleweight contender Kevin Holland took big strides forward in their respective careers and made everyone take notice of their handiwork.

Figueiredo went 3-0-1 in four fights, going from a title contender to capturing and defending the UFC flyweight title, with all three of his victories coming in emphatic fashion. Meanwhile, Holland went 5-0, going from unranked middleweight off a loss to top contender and one of the most exciting fighters at 185 pounds.

With that in mind, is Figueiredo or Holland MMA’s 2020 “Fighter of the Year”? MMA Junkie’s John Morgan, Nolan King, and Danny Segura answer that question in this edition of Triple Take.
