Cris Cyborg successfully defended her title for the first time on Thursday when she beat Arlene Blencowe in the Bellator 249 main event.
Cyborg (23-2 MMA, 2-0 BMMA) started her women’s featherweight title reign in a position fashion when she scored a second-round submission victory over Blencowe (13-8 MMA, 6-4 BMMA) in the headlining bout, which took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
