Whittaker (22-5 MMA, 13-3 UFC) pulled off one of the most significant wins of his career when he beat Cannonier (13-5 MMA, 6-5 UFC) by unanimous decision in the pay-per-view matchup at Flash Forum at Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, putting himself back in position for a middleweight title shot.
