This is the UFC 255 live blog for Mike Perry vs. Tim Means, a catchweight main card bout on Saturday’s fight card at UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

The bout originally was scheduled as a welterweight bout, but Perry missed weight at the event’s official weigh-ins, coming at 175.5 pounds, or 4.5 pounds over the non-title welterweight limit. The miss was not a surprise after he wrote a series of tweets the night before where he said he felt like “death” and doubted he could make weight. When he came in heavy, 30 percent of his show purse went to Means.

Perry is four months removed from a decision over Mickey Gall that snapped a two-fight skid including the first knockout loss of his career in a bout against Geoff Neal. He will be cornered again by his girlfriend, Latory Gonzalez, and a friend named Matthew who’s a neophyte in MMA. Gritty veteran Means is three months removed from a decision over Laureano Staropoli, which put him back in the win column after a submission loss against Daniel Rodriguez.
