The aftermath of the last UFC card of 2020 could see a number of fighters out of action until mid-2021.

UFC Vegas 17 main event victor Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson leads a list of 10 fighters who are facing potential six-month suspensions. Thompson’s right leg appeared to be limited in the latter stages of his fight with Geoff Neal this past Saturday and as it turns out he will require an MRI of his right knee and thigh as well as an X-ray of his right hand. Positive results mean Thompson will need orthopedic clearance or be sidelined until June 18.

Marlon Vera, who lost a unanimous decision to Jose Aldo in the co-main event, requires an MRI of his left wrist and an X-ray of his left hand and wrist, plus clearance from an orthopedic doctor in the event of a positive test. Otherwise, he could also face a six-month suspension.

Other names who might not be eligible to compete again until June due to injury include Anthony Pettis (nose, right foot), Pannie Kianzad (left hand, thumb), Deron Winn (left knee), Taila Santos (right elbow), Tafon Nchukwi (right knee, left shoulder), Jimmy Flick (right foot), Cody Durden (right knee), and Christos Giagos (left eye).
