Ricky Glenn is back in a big way.
Nearly three years away from the sport didn’t slow Glenn down from delivering a stunning 37-second knockout against Joaquim Silva as part of the UFC Vegas 29 preliminary card.
The stoppage came after Glenn blasted the Brazilian with a perfectly timed counter left hand and Silva immediately hit the canvas as he tried to find a way to survive. Silva did his best to scramble back to his feet but he wasn’t there for very long.
Glenn refused to give him a moment to breathe as he just kept blasting away with punches until Silva was finally face down on the canvas and referee Mike Beltran had no choice but to stop the contest.
“I’ve trained that ever since I was 14,” Glenn said about the combination that led him to the finish. “I’m not forcing anything. I wanted a finish obviously but I’m not forcing anything.
“I feel amazing. Finally happy and healthy and taking everything seriously like I should.”

Injuries kept Glenn out of action since 2018 but he returned with a huge statement in his first fight back as he improves his overall record to 22-6-1 including four wins now in the UFC.
With a lightning fast finish added to his record, Glenn was anxious to book his next fight even before he left the UFC APEX.
“Can I get in again right now?” Glenn said with a smile. “I’m ready to go right now. Whoever wants to get some, let’s get it.”
