Video: Floyd Mayweather isn’t concerned with size difference, glad Logan Paul believes in himself

MIAMI – Floyd Mayweather is set to face Logan Paul in an exhibition boxing match on Sunday evening. Thursday afternoon he spoke to the media in attendance at the Versace Mansion before an intense staredown.

Mayweather is an undefeated boxing legend whose record sits at 50-0. His opponent for this exhibition is YouTube star Paul, who has a professional boxing record of 0-1. On paper, the matchup seems unfair, which is why there are some special rules in place for this fight.

Speaking to the media on Thursday, Mayweather seemed excited that Paul is confident in his abilities inside the ring, but confidence will only carry him so far.

“I’m glad he believes in himself,” Mayweather stated. “I’m glad he believes in his skills. Last time I checked, all 50 fighters I faced, they all said the same thing.”

Being the smaller fighter in this matchup is no concern according to Mayweather. “By the time I go out there and face guys, they outweigh me by 25 pounds anyway,” Mayweather said. “A lot of times the guy may be taller, may be shorter, may be stronger, may be faster, but I fight the best.”
