Video: Should Bellator choose light heavyweight for its next grand prix?

Bellator president Scott Coker already believed he had the strongest light heavyweight division in the world – and that was before the promotion’s recent run of big-name signings.

Now, Bellator’s 205-pound division consists of former UFC title challengers Anthony Johnson and Yoel Romero after they joined this month, to go along with another big-name signing from 2020 in Corey Anderson. Combine those names with champion Vadim Nemkov, former champ Ryan Bader (also current heavyweight champ), former champ Phil Davis, and former UFC champ Lyoto Machida, and what you’ve got is a nice list of names. Add middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi to the mix – as Coker has said he’d like to see him move up – and suddenly you’re looking at a potentially compelling eight-man grand prix field.

Are you not?

Well, that’s our question here: Should Bellator choose light heavyweight for its next grand prix? Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of John Morgan, Mike Bohn, and “Gorgeous” George Garcia weigh in.
