At the Canelo vs. Plant weigh-ins, Canelo Alvarez and Caleb Plant will both step on the scale Friday afternoon ahead of their anticipated clash Saturday in Las Vegas.
Alvarez and Plant will have to step on the scale and weigh less than 168 pounds for the super middleweight title clash.
Canelo Alvarez will try to unify the super middleweight titles at the MGM Grand. Alvarez is the defending WBA, WBO and WBC titles. Plant is the current IBF super middleweight champion.
Alvarez lost fought against Billie Joe Saunders this past May, winning after Saunders’ corner threw in the towel in the eighth round. Plant defeated Caleb Truax via unanimous decision in his last outing this past January.
