Frank Mir’s daughter, Bella, set for pro MMA debut at age 17

A second generation of Mir fighters will be introduced to MMA soon.

Bella Mir, the daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir, who has 27 UFC fights on his resume, is set to make her professional debut. Bella has her first pro fight set for October, and she’ll be just 17.

Malki Kawa of First Round Management on Tuesday announced it has signed Mir to a contract to represent her and help guide her in the footsteps of her father (via Instagram):

This one is a good one… please help me in welcoming 🚨 17 yr old🚨 @ladymir11 Bella Mir to the @firstroundmgmt family. Bella’s happens to be the oldest daughter of 2x heavyweight champion and first Cuban champion ever in the @ufc, @thefrankmir. Now here’s the best part: bella is regarded as the best athlete in Las Vegas, male or female, her dad has been training her for years, and well… she’s making her pro debut next month‼ skies the limit and here’s to the real future of the women’s divisions everywhere! I’d say welcome to the fam, but you’ve been family! #mir #mma #womanpower #fightlikeagirl

According to Kawa, who spoke to MMA Junkie following the announcement, Mir’s debut will go down Oct. 22 under the Ikon Fight Federation banner in Mexico. Mir’s opponent has not been finalized, Kawa said, but she’ll compete in the women’s bantamweight division.

Mir has been training martial arts for the majority of her life under the guidance of her father. She’s already had a glimpse of the big stage, too, having served as a primary corner when her dad fought Javy Ayala at Bellator 212 in December 2018.
