Nate Diaz doesn’t seem pleased as it relates to what looks to be the next move for Dustin Poirier.

Ahead of UFC 258, Dana White spoke with reporters following the event’s official weigh-in and was asked about how the lightweight title picture was potentially going to play out. White said that since his UFC 257 knockout loss to Poirier this past month, Conor McGregor has been “obsessed” with wanting the promotion to book a trilogy fight between the two. In addition, White claims Poirier wants the matchup as well and the plan is to book the fight “in the summer.”

Diaz has been calling for a fight with Poirier since the middle of UFC 257 fight week. Now that plans seem to be in place to go a different direction, the Stockton, Calif., native took to Instagram to send a little message to “The Diamond.”

Diaz hasn’t competed since his UFC 244 TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal in November 2019. In a recent interview with ESPN, the 35-year-old said his ideal plan would be to return in the spring at 170 pounds against either Poirier or Charles Oliveira, the latter of whom already said he wasn’t interested in the matchup.
