Rory MacDonald and Ray Cooper III will headline the first PFL playoff card on Aug. 13 with the promotion announcing the full event that will take place in Hollywood, Fla.
The welterweights and lightweights will compete for spots in the PFL finals taking place later this year.
MacDonald will be making his third appearance in the PFL cage after going 1-1 in his first two fights for the promotion with his most recent outing ending a highly controversial decision loss to Gleison Tibaue. He’ll now look to take out a former PFL champion in Cooper, who was 2-0 during the regular season in 2021.
The other welterweight matchup will pit Joao Zeferino against Magomed Magomedkerimov.
UFC and boxing veteran Clay Collard will also compete on the main card as he takes on Rausch Manfio while Loik Radzhabov and Alexander Martinez will clash in the other lightweight semifinal. The winner of those two fights will then meet in the PFL finals.
As for the undercard, two-time PFL champion Natan Schulte will look to get a win after he was bounced from the playoffs when he takes on ex-UFC fighter Olivier Aubin-Mercier.
Fresh off his win over MacDonald earlier this year, Tibau will also compete on Aug. 13 as he faces off with Sadibou Sy in a welterweight bout on the prelims.
