UFC free fight: Rafael dos Anjos submits Kevin Lee, snaps losing skid

Rafael dos Anjos rides a two-fight losing skid into his UFC Fight Night 182 main event showdown against Paul Felder on Saturday.

The previous time dos Anjos was on such a stretch of defeats entering a fight was in the lead-up to his UFC Fight Night 152 main event vs. Kevin Lee in May 2019.

Coming off of back-to-back losses to future-UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman and future-UFC welterweight title challenger Colby Covington, dos Anjos stormed back and put on a dominant performance against former interim UFC lightweight title challenger Lee.

Midway through Round 4, dos Anjos stuffed a takedown attempt by Lee. With Lee on the canvas, dos Anjos grabbed hold of his downed opponent’s back. After landing some hard ground-and-pound, dos Anjos worked his way straight into full mount. There, dos Anjos snatched hold of Lee’s neck with an arm triangle and secured the victory with a tight squeeze.

Ahead of his fight vs. Paul Felder (17-5 MMA, 9-5 UFC) on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, relive dos Anjos’ (30-13 MMA, 18-11 UFC) fourth-round submission victory over Lee in the video above.
