USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings, Dec. 22: Rob Font makes bold impact

UFC bantamweight Rob Font (18-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) couldn’t hold back the emotions he felt following a big win at UFC Fight Night 183, and rightfully so. After a year on the sidelines, Font made a big splash in his return, earning a first-round stoppage of recent UFC title challenger Marlon Moraes.

Font started 2020 as an honorable mention in the USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie bantamweight rankings, but his inactivity saw the 33-year-old New England Cartel member slip off the list. With his latest big win, he vaults all the way to No. 10 in a weight class that also saw movement from Moraes, Jose Aldo and Marlon Vera, who were also in action at this past Saturday’s event in Las Vegas.

Following the final UFC event of 2020, take a look at the latest moves in the complete rankings list, where the 170-pound division also saw some key adjustments, as well.
