Ronda Rousey is sticking to the classics as she approaches motherhood.
The former UFC bantamweight champion and her husband Travis Browne uploaded a video on Tuesday announcing the gender of their child via a Pokemon-themed reveal. Rousey makes it clear that she didn’t want to follow in the vein of some of the riskier gender reveals that have gone viral online for the wrong reasons.
“Our gender reveal is finally here,” Rousey said in the reveal video. “We didn’t want to do anything that would set hundreds of acres ablaze or thousands even. Some people are idiots. We didn’t want to do that. So we’re keeping it simple, we’re keeping it safe, we’re keeping it Browsey Acres-style.”

Rousey is an avid Pokemon fan, so it’s not surprising in the slightest that she would draw upon the popular video game series for inspiration. Following the short announcement, Rousey and Browne also shared several outtakes from the filming.
The couple is expecting their child to arrive on Sept. 22.
