The most wild and crazy finish of the weekend in MMA may be locked up before UFC 254 even begins.
On Saturday, bantamweight Vyacheslav Ptitsyn took on Gadzhi Kurbanaliev at Modern Pankration Federation 232 in Vladivostok, Russia. Ptitsyn landed a ferocious right hand that knocked Kurbanaliev stiff on his feet.
Ptitisyn would follow up with one more right hand that pinned Kurbanaliev’s almost lifeless body into the fence when the referee stepped in to mercifully stop the fight.

The knockout was the first stoppage win of Ptitsyn’s career and improved his record to 3-0 since turning pro a little less than a year ago. All of his fights have taken place in the Far Eastern Modern Pankration Federation.
Saturday’s MFP 232 event was the promotion’s first since December 2019.
The 29-year-old Kurbanaliev was looking to bounce back from his first pro loss in September 2019 but was finished for the first time in his career.
