The last time Youssef Zalal entered a fight on back-to-back losses, he delivered a highlight reel finish that would change the course of his career. This Saturday, Zalal will look for lighting to strike twice.

Zalal will look to snap a current two-fight skid against Sean Woodson this Saturday at UFC Vegas 28. “The Moroccan Devil” had dropped his first two bouts under the LFA banner in 2019 before he faced Jamie Hernandez at LFA 79 in November of that year. Zalal stopped Hernandez in just over two minutes with an incredible flying knee, one that punched his ticket to the UFC.

Following a 3-0 start to his UFC career with wins over Austin Lingo, Jordan Griffin and Peter Barrett, Zalal would go on to drop decisions to short notice opponent Ilia Topuria and Seung Woo Choi.

In an exclusive interview with MMA Fighting’s Mike Heck, Zalal discusses the matchup with Woodson this Saturday, why he is not feeling any additional pressure, dealing with demons during the current losing streak and feeling like he’s found his mojo once again, being matched up with a very tall 145er, how he sees the fight playing out, and more.
