Invicta FC is moving to pay-per-view.

The women’s MMA promotion will promote Invicta FC 44: A New Era on Aug. 27 on traditional pay-per-view platforms including cable and satellite as well as through FITE TV online for $19.99 in the United States, $14.99 in Canada and $9.99 for the rest of the world.

The event will be headlined by a pair of title fights with new champions being crowned at bantamweight and strawweight.

In the 115-pound division, Emily Ducote will take on UFC veteran Danielle Taylor while at bantamweight, Lisa Verzosa faces off with former Dana White’s Contender Series competitor Teneisha Tennant.

The pay-per-view main card will kick off at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT on Friday, Aug. 27 with the prelims broadcast on AXS TV and streamed for free on Invicta FC’s YouTube page as well with the fights starting at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.

The promotion first launched on internet pay-per-view, but this will be the first broadcast for Invicta FC through traditional platforms.

“Invicta FC is back on pay-per-view with what promises to be an all-action night of mixed martial arts,” Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp said in a statement. “I’m very excited to see these world title fights – these are tough, gritty and both have the potential to be one of the best fights of the year.”

The card will serve as Ducote’s second chance to become Invicta champion after she lost a split decision in her previous attempt back in 2019. She will now square off with Taylor, who is coming off back-to-back wins following a stint in the UFC.

Meanwhile, Verzosa will also seek to become champion after falling short in a past fight for the belt as part of the Invicta FC Phoenix Series. Verzosa bounced back from that loss with a win over Raquel Canuto in her most recent outing.

As for Tennant, she will compete for the first time since missing out on a potential UFC contract after losing a close decision to Danyelle Wolf at 145 pounds. She will return to bantamweight for the title fight on Aug. 27 with designs on becoming champion in her fifth bout as part of the Invicta FC roster.

The full card for Invicta FC 44 will be announced in the coming weeks.
