Charles Oliveira has been making opponents tap out since day one.
“Do Bronx,” currently a top lightweight contender in the UFC, shared a video on Tuesday of his first amateur MMA fight from November 2007. The clip is a short one as it takes Oliveira seconds to bring the fight to the mat and expertly apply an armbar for the finish.

It was an appropriate start to the MMA career of Oliveira, who owns the record for most UFC submissions with 14. He joined the UFC in 2010 as a featherweight, but after struggling to make weight on multiple occasions he made a permanent move up to 155 pounds.
While his most recent win at UFC 256 did not end in a submission, Oliveira (30-8, 1 NC) earned a lopsided decision over perennial contender Tony Ferguson to score his eighth straight win and set himself up for a massive 2021 campaign.
